Picture of the day featuring the portrait of Archan Kut, the student monk of Archan Tia. He been here since last year, not only does he learn Buddhism from Archan Tia also he been a useful helping hands to Archan Tia.

Photo taken at the construction site of Ubosot, where he helps out the construction work with the rest of worker including Archan Tia himself. Construction work of Wat Sungai Siput started since 2009 and expected to be done by March next year. There are few major areas that still lack of funding, such as the building of Kutti (hostel of monks), those who are kind hearted can contact Wat Sungai Siput to ask about sponsorship detail.

Kamma and Fruit (佛说三世因果经)

The Blessed Buddha once said:
 Beings are owners of their actions (kamma = karma), inheritors of their actions, are created by their actions, linked to their actions, their actions produce their destiny. Whatever actions they do; good as evil, the resulting reaction and effect will be only theirs! There is one who kills living beings, steals what belongs to others, commits adultery with others' partners; speaks lies, uses divisive and aggressive speech, prattles empty gossip; is covetous, envious, jealous, wicked-minded, & of evil views. Such one is creeping in all bodily, verbal, and mental actions. Hidden & secret are such one's actions, words, and thoughts, of ulterior and concealed motives. But I tell you: Whoever pursues hidden ways and objects will have to expect one of these two results: Either the torture of hell, or birth among the creeping animals. Thus is it with all rebirth of any being: They will be reborn according to their actions (kamma)... When reborn, they experience the exact effects of their actions. Therefore I declare: Beings are owners of their actions (kamma), inheritor of their actions, are created by their actions, linked to their actions, as a shadow that never leaves! Their actions produce and condition their future destiny. Whatever action they perform; good as evil, the resulting reaction and effects will be only theirs! Kamma causes and creates rebirth! A shadow that never leaves!

尔时。阿难陀尊者。在灵山会上。一千二百五人俱。阿难顶礼合掌。遶佛三匝。胡跪合掌。请问本师释迦牟尼佛。南阎浮提。一切众生。末法时至。多生不善。不敬三宝。不重父母。无有三纲。五伦杂乱。贫穷下贱。六根不足。终日杀生害命。富贵贫穷。亦不平等。是何果报。望世尊慈悲。愿为弟子一一解说。佛告阿难。与诸大弟子言。善哉。善哉。汝等谛听。吾当为汝等分明说之。一切世间。男女老少。贫贱富贵。受苦无穷。享福不尽。皆是前生因果之报。以何所作故。先须孝敬父母。敬信三宝。次要戒杀放生。念佛布施。能种後世福田。

萬般自作還自受﹐ 地獄受苦怨何人。 莫道因果無人見﹐ 遠在兒孫近在身。
不信吃齋多修捨﹐ 但看眼前受福人。 前世修來今世受﹐ 今生修積後世人。
若人毀謗因果經﹐ 後世墮落無人身。 有人受持因果經﹐ 諸佛菩薩作證明。
有人書寫因果經﹐ 世代兒孫家道興。 有人頂帶因果經﹐ 凶災橫禍不臨身。
有人講說因果經﹐ 生生世世得聰明。 有人高唱因果經﹐ 來生多人愛恭敬。
有人印送因果經﹐ 來世便得帝王身。 若問前世因果經﹐ 武帝前身是何人。
若問後世因果經﹐ 郗氏墮落蟒蛇身。 若是因果無感應﹐ 目蓮救母是何因。
若人深信因果經﹐ 同生西方極樂國。 三世因果說不盡﹐ 龍天不虧善心人。
三寶門中福好修﹐ 一文喜捨萬文收。 以君寄在堅牢庫﹐ 世世生生福不休。

Apa itu Hukum KARMA?

1) Menganggap semua perbuatan itu akan membuahkan hasil (kamma). Sesungguhnya hanya perbuatan yang didorong oleh motivasilah yang akan membuahkan hasil [AN 6.63]. Malahan di antara perbuatan, yakni yang melalui pikiran, perkataan, dan perbuatan, perbuatan yang melalui pikiranlah yang dikenal sebagai yang terpenting/berpengaruh dalam ajaran Buddha, bukan perbuatan melalui jasmani seperti yang dianggap oleh kalangan umum [MN 56]. Mengapa ? Karena dalam ajaran Buddha, pikiran inilah yang dapat menciptakan obsesi (keinginan yang kuat) yang akan membentuk hidup ini, yang akan lebih menentukan bahagia tidaknya hidup ini. Misalnya, orang yang terobsesi dengan cinta secara alamiah akan berusaha semampunya untuk menyenangi hati orang yang dicintainya biarpun ia akan mengalami penderitaan untuk mencapainya. Bila ia gagal dalam membahagiai orang yang dicintainya, maka ia akan menderita lagi. Sedangkan orang yang terobsesi dengan kebencian secara alamiah akan berusaha semampunya untuk melukai orang yang dibencinya. Dendam panas tersebut akan membuat hidupnya merana. Kedua jenis obsesi ini disebut oleh Buddha sebagai keterikatan yang membawa kepada segala jenis penderitaan [SN 12.38]. Seseorang yang telah tercerahkan secara sempurna (Arahat) tidak lagi memiliki obsesi, dan oleh karenanya ia terbebas dari segala pembentukan kamma. Buddha mengatakan bahwa ada 4 jenis kamma, yakni kamma yang gelap dengan hasil yang gelap, yang terang dengan hasil yang terang, yang terang dan gelap dengan hasil yang terang dan gelap pula, dan kamma yang menghentikan kamma. Jenis yang terakhir inilah yang akan terhindar dari obsesi, yang dimiliki hanya oleh mereka yang akan menuju pencerahan [AN 4.235, AN 3.33]. Maka tidaklah mengherankan oleh Buddha dinyatakan bahwa motivasi itulah kamma dan pikiran itu jauh lebih penting dari perbuatan jasmani itu sendiri.<br /> <br /> 2) Menganggap apa yang menimpa diri kita adalah 100% berasal dari hasil kamma. Misalnya, kalau lagi sakit, ia menganggap itu adalah karena hasil kamma buruk. Padahal seseorang bisa saja jatuh sakit karena ia tidak pandai merawat kesehatan dirinya (makan-makanan yang salah dan lain-lain) dan sama sekali tak berhubungan dengan perbuatan jahat masa lampaunya, seperti yang telah dijelaskan oleh Buddha [SN 36.21]. Satu lagi contoh yang paling umum: tidak tahu menghemat dan suka berfoya-foya dan akibatnya ia tidak dapat meraih kekayaan; kemudian ia malah pasrah (tidak berusaha mengubah sifat jeleknya yang suka berfoya-foya) melainkan mengatakan pada dirinya sendiri bahwa itu adalah hasil kamma-nya (nasibnya) tidak dapat menjadi kaya. Di sini jelas terlihat bahwa ajaran kamma Buddha Gotama tidak membuat kita menjadi pasif dan pasrah terhadap nasib, malahan membuat kita aktif berusaha.<br /> <br /> 3) Tidak menyadari rumitnya cara kerja hukum kamma. Cara kerja hukum kamma sungguh rumit karena banyak faktor yang menentukan hasilnya. Faktor-faktor tersebut antara lain: pikiran (motivasi) yang mempelopori perbuatan tersebut (obsesinya), kualitas perbuatannya itu sendiri, kondisi yang mengizinkan untuk berbuahnya kamma tersebut, dan lain-lain. Contoh yang sangat bagus telah diberikan oleh Buddha : dua orang mencuri binatang ternak. Orang pertama adalah seorang yang miskin melarat dan dipandang rendah masyarakat, orang kedua adalah seorang yang kaya raya dan berpengaruh di masyarakat. Bila keduanya tertangkap, maka orang pertama mungkin akan dipenjarakan (dihukum lebih berat). Sedangkan orang kedua mungkin hanya akan dikenai denda saja. Jadi satu hal yang sama dapat memberikan dua hasil yang sangat jauh berbeda [AN 3.99]. Tidak mengherankan Buddha mengatakan bahwa hasil dari suatu kamma tidak dapat diketahui sampai mendetail [AN 4.77].<br /> <br /> 4) Menganggap bahwa asal kita berbuat baik saja, maka kita pasti akan dilahirkan di alam surga. Hal ini adalah kurang tepat adanya [MN 136]. Apa yang dimaksud Buddha adalah bila seseorang berbuat baik yang dimotivasi oleh pikiran baik (yang penuh dengan kebahagiaan dan ketulusan), maka ia akan cenderung secara spontan mengulang kembali perbuatannya tersebut dan menerima terus kebahagiaan yang muncul dari perbuatan baiknya. Oleh karenanya, pikirannya akan lambat-laun dikuasai oleh kebahagiaan dan bukan penyesalan. Dan bila pikirannya telah cenderung menuju ke arah tersebut, maka saat menjelang kematiannya, ia akan berpikiran jernih dan terlahir di alam yang bahagia. Hal ini sesuai dengan poin nomor 1 di atas, yakni motivasi itulah yang disebut sebagai kamma. Dan Buddha juga telah memberikan perincian tentang berbagai jenis motivasi yang berbeda-beda yang memberikan hasil yang berbeda-beda pula [AN 7.49]. Buddha menyebutkan bahwa orang yang berbuat baik yang membahagiakan pikirannya (membuatnya menjadi penuh ketenangan dan terlatih) itulah yang disebutkannya sebagai yang termulia [AN 7.49].

The Vision of Archan Tia (阿占爹的宏愿)

Just exactly how well do you think you know Archan Tia? A sakyant master? A creator of amazing life saving scared items? A fortune enhancer, a sacred science magician or anything else? Still not good enough, he is just a very simple yet without a doubt, a Bhikkhu, a yellow robes monk that took vows to follow and spread the teaching of Gautama Buddha. He once said, I cannot fly to convince people to believe in Buddhism, therefore I utility the magic of sacred science to help people, to release them from pain, so that they will remember is the Buddhism temple that they received the help, indirectly introduce Buddhism to them.

Archan Tia ordained as monk at the age of 21 and now its been 21 years of serving for Buddha. Been through lot of hardcore training in the jungle at his early age, obstacle after obstacle for developing Wat Sungai Siput, the road to promote Buddhism never go easy for him. He said “with Buddha sit in our heart, everything will be ok.” How this simple yet powerful sentence would will inspire all of us. Some said he look fierce, well there is always dual fold for a matter, and mutual understanding is very important this is especially true when we may feel vulnerable due to uncertainty.

Self dedicated and hardworking, Archan Tia run the temple with right motivation and right view, that’s very important. He is also highly respected by the member of temple for his integrity, never spend a penny for his personal reason, all the money goes to the development of temple, he said people thought Wat Sungai Siput is rich, infact they don’t know how hard it is to raise fund for temple that located in such a rural area. Archan Tia said he never dares to spend the money of temple for his personal use, for any reason under any circumstances, because he knew this kind of act would bring bad consequences to the karma, from here we can understand that why in 10 years time temple in such a rural area can developed into today’s scale, if not the honest and upright personality of him.

Archan Tia’s vision is very simple, that is to promote Buddhism by all means. Because of him my faith to Buddhism came even stronger, and because of Wat Sungai Siput, we all can learn and exercise the Buddhism teaching.

阿占爹早年前在泰国森林里的苦修，以及来马后建庙的过程阻碍重重，修行这条路考尽了他的毅力，阿占爹说，只要保持正念，佛陀在心中，任何事情都可迎刃而解。阿占爹师傅精通纹身，制造圣物，解降/增运，风水等都难不倒他，其实他纯粹的只是希望可以借此让更多人认识佛教，他说，我无法在众人面前飞给大家看，因此我必须借助法力来帮助众生，好让大家的生活比较好过的当儿，可以想起他们曾经在庙里接受过帮助，从而引导他们接受佛教信仰。

他说，身披袈裟就必须遵守佛戒，这袈裟迟早要还给佛陀的，不是穿爽而已。意思就是说，既然选择了走修行这条路，就必须尽一位和尚该有的责任，度化众生以及发展佛教。多年来阿占爹积极努力的发展空怀泰佛寺，外人常以为空怀泰佛寺很有钱，阿占爹说其实他们不知道在如此偏僻的地方筹款建庙是多么难的一件事。积极与努力是阿占爹的特质，持佛戒，行八正道，以佛陀精神来处理庙务，他的清廉更是大家所知道的，他说，他不敢乱花庙里的一分钱，或利用庙的名义来赚取私有，无论在什么情况下或任何理由都好，因为他知道这将带来非常严重的果报，这也说明了空怀泰佛寺可以在如此贫瘠的地方发展到今天的规模，全凭阿占爹用心打理。外人常以为阿占爹很凶，其实他只是比较严而已，再者，很多东西是一体两面的，互相明白与了解就会解除不必要的误会。

阿占爹的宏愿就是把佛教推广给更多人认识，希望大家跟着他的脚步，一起学习与了解更多的佛法。这世上没有绝对的方法，只有绝对的“心”与正念，在空怀泰佛寺的屋檐下，大家一起努力吧！

Story of Amulet Continued (圣物显灵圣迹续)

Gold Takrut

After the article “Great Encounters of Amulet” posted up, news after news came just like flying snowflake. I have compiled few to share with everyone here in short, for detailed story please log on to its forum thread.

• Gold Takrut – Friend of mine, who is also devotee of Archan Tia since year 2000, received gold takrut inserted into both arms at his most downhill time, in 3 years time he gained tremendously improvement in all aspects of life. Gold takrut also saved his life from a terrible car accident, where he hit down 5 small trees and car losing control heading to an artificial lake, but last minute car stopped by itself, just inches away from diving into lake, this incident happened 5 years ago during Christmas eve, his car became a piece of iron scrap because of that accident, many thought he already “KIA”, but he survived with just little scratch. Another advise for not to drink and drive!
• Somdej (2545) – A devotee from Pahang call Mr. Ng and told the story of his friend, after wearing this Somdej, at night dream of a very old woman came to help him catch all the bad spirit, wake up day after with whole new fresh body!
• Jumbo Size Takrut – For every sacred items Archan Tia will perform serious consecration using meditation and chanting power, and so with this new invention Jumbo Size Takrut. There was once a time during the chanting of Jumbo Size Takrut, Archan Tia said he consecrate it until his body and mind entering Samadhi stage for 1 hour, his body became stiff in meditation posture cant move for 1 hour then only recovered. This only happened to those who are entered Samadhi level. So for each sacred item of Archan Tia you can rest assure the power is 100% there.

Somdej 2545

自从“圣物显灵圣迹”的文章发布后陆续收到善信们的回响，在这里我再跟大家分享一些短简短故事，详细内容请游览其论坛帖子。

• 金铜符 – 这是朋友的故事，他从2000年开始就认识阿占爹，在早期时人生陷入低潮，打了金铜符后在短短的3年内逐渐起色，现在已经非常好了。他最近难忘的经历是，在5年前的圣诞节前夕，由于醉酒驾车，误撞倒5棵路边的小树，车子失控冲向人造湖，紧急之极的最后一分钟车子突然自己停止前进，只差一点就要掉入湖中了。他的车子撞成了废铁，很多人以为他准没命了，但他只有一点擦伤。
• 顺德（2545）- 一位来自Pahang 的善信致电给黄先生告诉了他朋友的故事，话说他的朋友穿了阿占爹在2002年发布的顺德佛牌后，有一天晚上睡觉时梦到有一位老妇女出现在他梦中帮他抓掉所有附在他身上不好的灵体，隔天醒来发现全身舒服无比，整个人轻了许多！
• 巨型铜管符 – 阿占爹一路来都很认真的开光他的圣物，以确保可以帮到恭请回家的善信。有一回阿占爹在房间坐禅诵经开光巨型铜管符时，突然进入禅定，身子动弹不得长达1句钟，后来才慢慢恢复。有坐禅习惯的人都知道这是进入禅定才有的状态。由禅功开光的圣物能量非常强劲，加上阿占爹出家修行守戒已长达20多年，其制造出来的圣物非比寻常。

What is Nibbãna? (何谓涅槃)

A wandering friend once asked the Great Disciple:
Friend Sariputta, Nibbāna, Nibbāna  is it said! What is this Nibbāna? The destruction of Greed, the destruction of Hate, and the destruction of Ignorance! This, friend, is called Nibbāna… But, friend, is there a method, is there a way to reach this Nibbāna? There is indeed a method, friend, there is indeed a way to reach Nibbāna! What, friend, is then this method, what is then that way to reach Nibbāna? It is, friend, simply the completion of this Noble 8-fold Way, namely:

• Right View  (sammā-ditthi)
• Right Motivation  (sammā-sankappa)
• Right Speech  (sammā-vācā)
• Right Action  (sammā-kammanta)
• Right Livelihood  (sammā-ājīva)
• Right Effort  (sammā-vāyāma)
• Right Awareness  (sammā-sati)
• Right Concentration  (sammā-samādhi)

This is undeniably the very method, friend, the only way to reach Nibbāna! Oh excellent is this unique method, exquisite is this way to reach Nibbāna! This –in itself- is enough for me, friend Sariputta, to begin the endeavour!

八正道：这是如来说法，最先揭示的道品，为离邪向正，转迷启悟的修持轨范。八正道，应称为『八圣道分』，或『八圣道支』。这是成圣的正道，有不可缺的八种成分，意谓达到佛教最高理想境地（涅槃）的八种方法和途径：

• 1、正见。正确的见解，亦即坚持佛教四谛的真理；
• 2、正思维。又称正志，即根据四谛的真理进行思维、 分别；
• 3、正语。即说话要符合佛陀的教导，不说妄语、绮语、恶口、两舌等违背佛陀教导的话；
• 4、正业。正确的行为。一切行为都要符合佛陀的教导，不作杀 生、偷盗、邪淫等恶行；
• 5、正命。过符合佛陀教导的正当生活；
• 6、正方便。又称正精进，即毫不懈怠地修行佛法，以达到涅槃的理想境地；
• 7、正念。念念不忘 四谛真理；
• 8、正定。专心致志地修习佛教禅定，于内心静观四谛真理，以进入清净无漏的境界。

八正道，以无漏的戒定慧为体。这不但是圣者的，八正道行入涅盘，也是凡夫邪道的彻底对治者，所以说能对「治堕邪道」的「一切众生」。堕邪道，即邪定聚众生。有了八邪，一定堕落恶趣。修八正道，才能回邪向正而使他解脱。

Lalu Nibbana itu apa?
Tanpa mempelajari ajaran Buddha terlebih dahulu dan berlatih di jalan yang telah ditetapkan oleh Buddha, Nibbana merupakan konsep yang sulit untuk digenggam atau dipahami. Hal itu serupa dengan usaha dalam menjelaskan warna bagi orang buta dan bunyi bagi orang tuli. Bahasa yang biasa tidak cukup untuk menjelaskan Nibbana. Nibbana harus dialami dan dipahami.

Bagaimanapun, secara ringkas, Nibbana adalah akhir dari segala nafsu dan penderitaan. Ia dicapai oleh seseorang yang telah menghapus segala aspek dari ketamakan, kebencian dan kebodohan. Ia adalah keadaan kebahagiaan dan kesenangan yang abadi yang tidak lagi dilahirkan kembali.

Buddha telah mengajari kita bagaimana mengurangi, dan pada akhirnya mengakhiri ketamakan, kebencian dan kebodohan dalam segala aspeknya. Dan ini dapat dilakukan dengan berlatih faktor yang baik dari kemurahan hati dan kebaikan, kesabaran dan belas kasih, moralitas dan kebijaksanaan.

Dengan latihan yang baik akan ajaran Buddha, dimungkinkan bagi siapapun dari kita untuk mengalami kedamaian dan kebahagiaan dari Nibbana, bahkan di kehidupan sekarang. Selidiki, periksa dan cobalah ajaran Buddha untuk diri anda sendiri!

Tidak perlu menunggu sampai kematian, alami Surga ketika anda masih hidup. Surga di sini dan saat ini, itulah rasa dari Nibbana di kehidupan ini.

铜管符或称Takrut 就好像华人的神符一样，历史悠久，功效显著。很多人都喜欢在身体不同的部位上佩戴铜管符，以达到避险/避邪，纳福/纳财，人缘和合等方面的辅助。空怀泰佛寺的主持人阿占爹师傅一路来都以其亲自制造开光的铜管符闻名，尤其是在避险方面，很多善信可以跳出来告诉你说阿占爹的铜管符在最危急的时候救了他们一命，这乃事实，非虚拟之造。阿占爹的师父 LP Thop 乃是泰国鼎鼎大名的铜管符大师，所做出来的铜管符到至今事隔几十年后人们还是在寻找，其圣迹更让人茶余饭后津津乐道。阿占爹传承了LP Thop 的手抄本经文，里面记载着数以百计的修行之道，也包刮了制造顶尖圣物的秘方，这当然也少不了制造铜管符的秘方。阿占爹21岁出家到至今已20多年有余，多年来积极努力的苦修，已经是一位得道高僧，做出来的圣物广受众善信们的喜爱，尤其是铜管符，更加受到大家的青睐。

• 109节腰部铜管符（RM500） – 这款铜管符很多善信穿了都传来佳音，在很多方面尤其是纳财/招生意等都有极佳的效果。但目前这款铜管符已经没有现货了，那些想要拥有的的必须以定购的方式来结缘。之前此109节腰部铜管符的结缘金为 RM300，但现在阿占爹以加强版的款式推出，在两旁用手工以精致的吉祥结加于巩固，让整条铜管符看起来更加漂亮，穿起来也更加舒服。由于这款铜管符很难做，很考手工，开光也需要多时（108遍的多天诵经），因此结缘金也稍高。希望善信们可以了解到师傅的苦心与筹建讲经堂的善愿为出发点。
• 双色腰部铜管符（RM250）- 这是近期的新作品，主铜管符以双色绳捆上，两旁各围绕着两支金色的副铜管符。个人就非常喜欢这款双色铜管符，因为它极有圣僧 LP Thop 在多年前制造出来三色铜管符的味道。这款首期发布的双色腰部铜管符收藏价值很高，但只做29条而已，那些要结缘的请速。
